Cost Breakdown: Project NOLA will charge your credit card one time for either $165 or $170, depending on if you choose the 2mp or 3mp version. Each month afterwards, we will charge your card either $15 or $20, depending on if you selected 2mp or 3mp HD.

Desired HD Picture Quality


Choosing 3mp camera mode will allow your crime camera to produce a wider-angle and higher definition picture (1,000,000 more pixels than 1080p), which provides much greater detail when zooming into the picture. When choosing to upgrade to 3mp, ProjectNOLA adds an additional $5/ month to help cover the cost associated with receiving and recording a higher definition camera to its cloud.

Featuring a 3 Mega Pixel sensor, super-wide angle view, built-in IRs for seeing in complete darkness, on-board recording that allows you to view live and recorded video via the Internet, and Wi-Fi to help make installations a snap, Project NOLA welcomes you to be one of the first to try out our latest HD loaner crime camera. Borrower agrees to a security deposit, which may be fully refunded provided that the borrower continuously remains an active participant with the ProjectNOLA crime camera system and eventually returns the borrowed equipment in good working order. While participating with the ProjectNOLA crime camera system, the borrower may view live or recorded video from the loaner crime camera that they are hosting, via a compatible smart phone, tablet, pad, smart TV or PC.

By accepting a loaner crime camera, borrower agrees to participate with the ProjectNOLA crime camera system by facing the borrowed camera towards a public thoroughfare or park, ensuring that the camera continuously remain connected to the ProjectNOLA cloud via a broadband Internet connection, and paying the monthly maintenance fees, which covers Project NOLA's cost of receiving and recording the crime camera.

Due to limited funding, ProjectNOLA may restrict loaner cameras on a first come first served basis. Please contact us at (504) 298-9117 should you wish to get multiple cameras for your home, property or business, as other cost-efficient options are readily available.

Failure to continuously participate with the ProjectNOLA crime camera system and/or return the crime camera kit in good working condition will result in forfeiture of the security deposit. Borrower assumes complete responsibility for the care and upkeep of the camera kit, and of any damages that may be incurred.


Cost: $150 camera security deposit (refundable) + $15/month maintenance fee ( You will be charged $165 the first month, then only $15/month afterwards until the loaner crime camera kit is returned ). If choosing the 3mp option, the cost would be $145 for the first month and $20/ month thereafter, given the increased demands on our cloud to receive and record 3MP video.


Should you not wish to pick up your Do-It-Yourself ProjectNOLA HD crime camera kit from our office (2000 Lakeshore Drive, University of New Orleans - TRAC Building, 2nd Floor) and self-install your camera(s), please call us at 298-9117 should you wish us to recommend a local installation company that may deliver and install crime cameras for a special price! For as little as $150/ camera, a professional install team may pick up your equipment from our office, professionally install the equipment at your location, show you how to use the phone app to view your video, then bill you once their job is complete.
